During the 2012 presidential election season, she was the spokeswoman for the College Republican National Committee.
Additionally, she later worked as the House Freedom Caucus’ Communications Director, where she assisted Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows. In 2017, she was named Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary to Vice President Mike Pence. Similarly, while serving as Pence’s adviser, she was a member of the official US delegations to the Munich Security Conference and the ASEAN Summit.
Moreover, she was named Press Secretary for the United States Department of Defence in September 2019, filling a position that had been empty for nearly a year.
