In 2009, CNN entrusted him with the significant role of their bureau’s correspondent in Jerusalem. His professional milestones include being among the first journalists to access Iraq following the September 11 attacks. Notably, he was the only Western journalist granted an interview with Uday Hussein. In August 2011, Ben was in Sabah, reporting on the 2011 civil war that led to the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.
