Brit Hume is an American political analyst and journalist. He spent twenty-three years as an ABC News reporter, contributing to Peter Jennings’ World News Tonight, Nightline, and This Week. Likewise, he also served as the lead ABC News correspondent in the White House.

Brit Hume’s Career
Hume is a renowned journalist who served as a news reporter and anchor for several stations. He began his career as a reporter for “The Hartford Times. Afterwards, he worked for United Press International and the Baltimore Evening Sun, which is the largest daily newspaper in the United States.
Additionally, he began working as a consultant for ABC News in 1973. He later received an opportunity to become a correspondent, and spent the next 11 years covering the Senate. It is known that he was nominated for television’s first Academy Award in 1979 for his work on the documentary The Killing Ground for ABC’s Close-Up.
Moreover, he left ABC News after receiving an offer to become the managing director of Fox News Network. Notably, he started hosting his own show, “Special Report with Brit Hume,” in January 1998. He was so good at hosting the show that it was the most watched cable news programme for a few years.
Furthermore, he left “Special Report with Brit Hume” in July 2008, but kept up his employment with Fox News Network. After two months, he left the station and was replaced by Tucker Carlson. He then covered the 2020 presidential election, criticising Joe Biden for donning a mask as, in the past, Joe had said that Donald Trump’s lack of a mask had a beneficial impact on people.
