David Begnaud’s Career
Begnaud began his television career as a teen reporter, while he was in high school, at KLFY TV 10 in Lafayette, LA. Furthermore, when he walked into his first day of college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, his instructor asked if he became the man she’d seen anchoring the evening news the night prior.
He went ahead to anchor the weekend morning and also evening editions of Eyewitness News, while attending college throughout the week. Moreover, Begnaud worked at KSLA in Shreveport Louisiana from 2005 to 2007.
Later he joined KOVR in Sacramento, where he spent three years, prior to joining KTLA in Los Angeles. In 2015, he joined CBS News named him the Miami-located correspondent for the network. Later in January 2017, he relocated to the network’s Dallas bureau.
In July 2019, he came back in Puerto Rico reporting on the Puerto Rico protests, and again the resignation of then governor Ricardo Rossello and was earned warmly by the Puerto Ricans on the island, who see him as their ally.
