Deitrick is a vastly recognized gospel singer and songwriter whose songs are characterized with progressive gospel styles of music. It is known that his Lost & Found song launched his solo career as a Christian R&B vocalist.

Most noteworthy, he has been signed with Verity Records where he released his Church on the Moon album. As a result, it ranked at No. 65 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboards Top Gospel charts. He featured Mary Mary and Ruben Studdard in his Love Him Like I Do single from the Revealed album.
