Potger is a famous musician and founder member of the pop group the Seekers. His music career began in school where he used to perform with his friends. In addition in 1962, he together with his friends Ken Ray, Athol Guy, and Bruce Woodley founded “the Seekers.”

Additionally, Judith Durham joined the group at the end of 1962 after Ray left. During this time, the group majorly focused on folk and gospel music, which featured instruments like the banjo, guitars, and double bass. The group later split up in 1968, and this is where Potger decided to resume his solo music career.

Moreover, he also collaborated with Barry Mason and Tony Macaulay which resulted in his popularity. He continued to work on his solo albums all through the 1980’s. More so, he composed and produced entertaining musicals commemorating the Australian Anniversary in 1988.

Furthermore, the Seekers reunited in 1992, for an international tour in honour of their silver jubilee. Similarly, the group later released the platinum-selling album Future Road in 1997. The album featured several of his songs including “The Circle of Love,” “Forever Isn’t Long Enough (for Me),” and the title track “Future Road.”
