Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is a Mexican actor. In addition to appearing in movies like Cake and Bless Me, Ultima, and the television series From Dusk to Dawn: The Series, he is most known for playing attorney Mickey Haller in the Lincoln Lawyer TV series. In the 2016 version of The Magnificent Seven, he played one of the titular characters.

GarcĂa-Rulfo was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He learned how to ride horses while growing up on a ranch in Jalisco, Mexico. He once travelled to Vermont to pursue his English studies. Prior to realizing his interest in filmmaking, he majored in communications at Universidad del Valle de Atemajac. He attended the New York Film Academy to further his acting studies but ultimately chose to go back to Mexico.

Manuel Garcia- Rulfo’s Acting Career
Garcia-Rulfo made his first major American film with Bless Me, Ultima, as Uncle Pedro. In the 2016 adaptation film The Magnificent Seven, he portrayed the outlaw Vasquez, one of the title characters. He found it challenging to learn how to use a gun for the job. However, he later admitted, “I got blisters, but it was amusing. He co-starred in Kenneth Branagh’s 2017 production of Murder on the Orient Express as Biniamino Marquez. This role was created especially for him based on the novel’s original Antonio Foscarelli.
Garcia-Rulfo replaces Logan Marshall-Green in the role of Mickey Haller in the Netflix series adaption of The Lincoln Lawyer in early 2021.
