Bartiromo is a vastly recognized financial journalist, author, and television commentator. She began her career as an executive producer and assignment editor at CNN Business, where she worked for five years. During this time, she also worked as a production assistant for Stuart Varney.

Additionally, she joined CNBC in August 1993, replacing Roy Blumberg as an analyst. Here, she did live reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in addition to contributing to the Market Watch and Squawk Box programmes. Notably, she was the first journalist to broadcast live from the New York Stock Exchange floor.

Moreover, she began co-hosting Business Centre, CNBC’s flagship evening show, with Tyler Mathisen in 1997. Later, in 2002, she became the first anchor of CNBC News’ Closing Bell. Likewise, she also starred in the documentary film Risk/Reward, which follows the lives of four Wall Street women and the difficulties they experience in their jobs.

Furthermore, she took over as The Wall Street Journal Report’s anchor in 2004 after Consuelo Mack retired.
