Morris is a renowned pastor mostly recognized as the founder and senior pastor of Gateway Church. He founded the church on September 16, 1999, in Southlake, Texas, near Fort Worth Metroplex. In addition, the first church service was held at the Hilton Hotel in Grapevine, on Easter morning, April 23, 2000.
Additionally, the church later moved to Grapevine’s old movie theatre after its expansion. Afterward, the church relocated to its first permanent location a 64,000-square-foot, 600-seat structure on Southlake Boulevard. In 2010, Gateway inaugurated its newest structure, a 64-acre complex including 4,000 seats for refuge.
Moreover, the church has since grown to over 70,000 regular attendance since its establishment. Likewise, he also has his own radio programme, Worship & the Word, with Pastor Robert which airs in more than 1,800 radio stations. On the other hand, he is an author of many books including, Beyond Blessed, and Take the Day Off.
