Phillip McGraw is an American television personality and author who is the currently the host of the Dr. Phil talk show. Likewise, he gained popularity in the late 1990’s after appearing in The Oprah Winfrey Show.

McGraw joined his father to work in his firm in Wichita Falls, Texas. While working togtrher they secured a deal with a Texas entrepreneur, Thelma Box, to deliver “Pathways” self-help workshops. Afterward, in 1990, he partnered with lawyer Gary Dobbs and established a trial consulting business Courtroom Sciences, Inc. (CSI).
Most noteworthy, he is one of the creator of the TV show Bull which majorly focuses on his experience as atrial consultant. IN 1995 Oprah Winfrey hired his consulting business CSI to help her in the Amarillo Texas cattle trial. Winfrey was pleased with his work and congratulated him for her victory in the case.
Moreover, Winfrey invited him to her show, and his presentation was so captivating that he started appearing on Tuesdays as a love and strategy expert. Additionally, he established Peteski Productions and launched his own show Dr. Phil which was produced by Winfrey’s Harpo Studios. He later extended his contract with his show’s distributors, King World Productions, Inc., for another five years.
Furthermore, they agreed that $15 million will be paid to him annually to keep the show from 2013 to 2014. With 6.69 million viewers, Nielsen Media Research rated his show fourth in 2007. That same year he was ranked 30th on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list and by 2020 he had risen 22nd on the same list with earnings of $65.5 million.
