Most noteworthy, he made guest appearances on the spin-offs The Originals and Legacies. He also portrayed the role of Pulse (Augustus) in the first season of the Fox superhero series The Gifted, a TV spinoff from the X-Men film series.
During the same year, he co-starred in the third installment of the horror film series The Ring. Roerig portrayed Ray Mott, a younger version of the character played by Ed Harris, in the Vietnam War drama film The Last Full Measure, released in January 2020.
Furthermore, he starred in the USA Network drama pilot Dare Me and portrayed Casey Hughes on As the World Turns. In addition, he joined One Life to Live as Hunter Atwood but left later that year. He also made occasional appearances on Friday Night Lights as Cash, the cowboy.
